Christine Phal, previously an art gallery owner for 20 years, has created the Contemporary Drawing Art Fair in 2007, to create a link between contemporary drawing and a public of amateurs and collectors. Two years after, her daughter Carine Tissot joins her (she was previously at Reed Exhibition).
Now, DRAWING NOW Art Fair has become a key event in the international calendar of art fairs, each year with 70 international galleries selected by an independent selection committee.
They show then, one week every year, the best of contemporary drawing of these past 50 years.
The 13th edition will take place from March 28th to 31st at Carreau du Temple, gathering 71 international galleries, with more than 300 artists. On both level of the venue (ground floor and lower level), you will discover 2’000 artworks!
Among the numerous discoveries through the galleries booths, the fair offers a rich and various programme: with Talks, Artists Interviews, videos, Master Now and ACTION! PERFORMING DRAWING. More than 10 drawing happenings to rythme this week.
