For more than 30 years, Galerie Papillon has been known for its cutting-edge programming, particularly its sensitivity to works on paper, which brings together French and foreign artists - emerging, established or mid-career - who share a common sense of poetry and irony. The gallery offers them a vast playground in its main courtyard space of 250 m2, while its second space, on the second floor, is dedicated to collective hangings or specific invitations.
Marion and Claudine Papillon are two generations of gallery owners who collaborate together while complementing each other and sharing the same values and the same unchanging vision that gives the gallery its identity: to offer artists an environment of freedom so that they can give free rein to their creativity.
