Founded in Paris in 2005, DILECTA is a publishing house specialized in contemporary art. It publishes about twenty books a year, alone or in partnership with galleries, museums or private foundations: artists' books, exhibition catalogues, monographs or limited editions.
In 2015, a gallery space opened on rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth, in this dynamic area of the Marais and Haut-Marais prized by contemporary art.
Inaugurated by an exhibition by Bertrand Lavier followed by the vast project "Locus Solus" developed by Jean-Michel Othoniel, the gallery hosts 4 to 5 exhibitions per year.
Some, collective, come to testify to the diversity of the projects of artists present in our collection (multiples, prints, unique pieces), others aim to defend the work of artists to whom we feel close because of their approach, the subjects they approach, the medium or the medium they favor.
Since 2015, in addition to Bertrand Lavier and Jean-Michel Othoniel, we have exhibited Martine Aballéa, Dove Allouche, Jérémie Bennequin, Brodbeck & de Barbuat, Mircea Cantor, Philippe Cognée, Nathanaëlle Herbelin, Peter Kim, Bruno Peinado, Eric Poitevin, Mateo Revillo and Edgar Sarin, Morgane Tschiember, Benjamin Loyauté, Edgar Endress and many others.
These exhibitions are often linked to publications of the publishing house.
Since 2016, the gallery participates in international fairs such as FIAC (Paris), Art Brussels (Brussels, Belgium), Artissima (Milan, Italy), Art Geneva (Geneva, Switzerland), Drawing Now (Paris), Art Paris Art Fair (Paris), Art-O-Rama (Marseille), among others.
