For nearly 15 years, our gallery has been singled out in the contemporary art world by the production each year of several original sets edited with French and international artists. Throughout our history, we have collaborated with more than 40 artists, all generations included. Each collaboration is the result of a meeting with the artist. Each time, we try to present works that take a particular place in the corpus of this last one, answering a will to present a specific and original work opening to the exploration of territories or new mediums. Our space in the 8th arrondissement of Paris is an opportunity to present our choices and our favorites and also to display singular, unique works from the artists' studios. It is also an opportunity to reveal lesser-known works by established and up-and-coming artists from Paris, Brussels, Madrid, London and Berlin...
Project for Drawing Now 2023:
What can drawing do in our world? What is its destiny? It is to these essential questions that the artists we have chosen to present for Drawing Now 2023 attempt to answer by very different means: Anne and Patrick Poirier, in focus, Claire Trotignon, Amélie Barnathan, Les sœurs Chevalme, Gilles Pourtier and Christian L'hopital. The set of unpublished works produced specifically for Drawing Now tends to establish a fertile dialogue between the line and saturated colors, all in the service of a narrative drawing its springs in the sources of Western culture. These sequences question the very nature of our civilization, its dreams as well as its nightmares and neuroses, and give to the whole stand a poetic but also political light.
