The Jean Louis Ramand Gallery is pleased to offer a stand dedicated to the work of Marie Havel. In focus on his founding artistic practices, drawings with model flocking and sandpaper drawings on photographic prints will be presented.
The artist inscribes his work in a transcription of a continuous cycle of construction and disappearance. She has a keen interest in highlighting places shaped by a common and distant history in relation to more intimate materials and uses. Drawn with modelling flocking, the landscapes of his series Le Ravin du Loup and Plage du Terminus, reveal fragments of fortified concrete structures of the departments of Aisne and Pas-de-Calais, today closely mixed with the soil, their vegetation.
Born in 1990 in Aisne, Marie Havel is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier. His work has been shown at the FRAC Occitanie - Montpellier, at the Villa Datris Foundation in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and very recently at the MO.CO. Panacea in Montpellier. To his credit many personal but also collective exhibitions, especially at fairs and fairs.
His works can be found in different collections including the Helenis GGL Foundation, Montpellier, the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet Collection and many others
