General
In 2020, the year of the gallery’s 20th anniversary, we are showing CHRISTIAN LÖHR, one of the most important contemporary German draughtswomen, at Drawing Now. In her drawings Löhr explores space. With lines of pencil or oil pastel she divides the paper space and discovers the resulting surfaces and their different light intensities. Christiane Löhr was born in Wiesbaden in 1965. She lives and works in Cologne and Prato. Her works are shown in museums and galleries in Germany, Italy, Greece, the USA and Japan. In 2001 she participated in the exhibition “Plateau of Humanity” curated by Harald Szeeman at the 49th Venice Biennale. In 2012 her works were shown at the Biennale in Benin and 2014 at the Biennale in Cartagena, Colombia.
