The Provost Hacker Gallery was founded in 2010 in the old town of Lille. Within its three addresses, the gallery is specialized in contemporary art and focuses today on emerging French and Belgian artists.
For this Drawing Now 2023, we propose a duo show of two photographers, visual artists, Micky Clément and Nicolas Dhervillers.
Our two artists will use pastel to make us discover, each one, their artistic universe, with very singular looks and techniques.
Micky Clément uses dry pastel, a material that he works in a sculptural and empirical way in order to plunge the spectator into a universe of materials and movements. The scenes of life and landscapes represented take us into a unique and poetic atmosphere.
Nicolas Dhervillers, will present us with pastels, where the skies, the landscapes are ageless, suspended in time. From these works, springs a powdery and velvety matter, luminous and fleeting, like an evocation of the absolute.
